"I WAS A TEENAGE NEIL DIAMOND"
Oil on canvas

When I was a kid growing up on the cove in Port Clyde Maine, all I had was a pencil and paper, but it started me down the rabbit hole creatively. I didn't get into real artist paints until I was two years into high school. Happy days! You bet! This love has never faded from the moment I sold my first paintings to my teachers in high school. I remember saying: "This is what I was born to do!"
I use all sorts of different mediums, such as found objects, driftwood, hand carved & shaped wood that I apply with nails and glue. I'm into repurposing. Always have been. I work with oils, watercolor, acrylics, and really, whatever is at hand to make a piece manifest! Oh, and I'm also known to create my own unique frames!
Beauty wherever I find it, sends me. I've always found a way to go wandering into realms of transcendence. (Not all who wander are lost, after all!) Poetry. Muses. Angels. Earth angels. Mermaids. Pixies. Nature. I'll get nudges of a notion and keep turning it over 'til sumpin' gels in my imagination. Put another canvas on the easel! Have at it, ya Wild Thing! 🎵
